Privacy Policy
Plain English first, the legal detail right after. If something isn’t clear, ask — you’ll get a straight answer.

The short version
- We only collect what you send us: your name, email, website and project details.
- This site has no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies.
- Our free tools run in your browser. What you type into them stays on your device.
- We never sell your data. Email hello@leggo.dev to see, fix or delete it.
1. Who we are
Leggo.dev is run by Leggo Commerce LLC (“Leggo”, “we”, “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company, 1501 South Greeley Hwy, Ste C #1449, Cheyenne, WY 82007, United States.
We decide how and why your personal data is used on leggo.dev and in our client work, which makes us the “controller” under the EU and UK GDPR. For anything in this policy, write to hello@leggo.dev.
This policy covers the website, its free tools and the way we handle enquiries and client projects. Our Cookie Policy and Terms of Service are separate documents.
2. What we collect
What you send us
- Project and contact forms: name, email, website URL, your message, budget range and deadline. On the agency form we also note that the request came from an agency.
- “Suggest a tool” form: your idea, your email and, if you give it, your name.
- Emails and messages you send us, and anything you attach to them.
- Client records: contracts, proposals, invoices, and payment details such as the paying bank, Wise account or crypto wallet address, amounts and transaction IDs. We never see or store card numbers.
- Project access you give us, such as logins to your CMS or hosting. We use it only for the project and ask you to change or revoke it when the work is done.
What is collected automatically
Like every web server, ours keeps short-lived technical logs: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use them to keep the site running, to stop spam and abuse, and to fix errors.
We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or fingerprinting. There are no tracking cookies on this site. The Cookie Policy has the details.
What we don’t collect
Our free tools, such as the Clamp() Generator and Smart Background Video, run entirely in your browser. What you type or generate in them isn’t sent to us.
3. How we use it, and why we’re allowed to
| What we do | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Reply to your request and prepare an estimate or proposal | Steps you asked for before a contract; legitimate interests |
| Deliver the project, invoice it and provide support | Performance of a contract |
| Keep the site secure and filter spam | Legitimate interests |
| Keep accounting, tax and business records | Legal obligation |
| Email you once when a tool you suggested goes live | Consent (you gave us your email for that) |
| Establish, exercise or defend legal claims | Legitimate interests |
We don’t run mailing lists, we don’t send marketing emails you didn’t ask for, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share it with
A few services handle data for us. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job.
| Service | What it does for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| netcup GmbH | Hosts this website, our form handling (a self-hosted n8n instance) and our CRM | Germany (EU) |
| Tuta (Tutao GmbH) | Encrypted email for hello@leggo.dev | Germany (EU) |
| Wise | Receives payments and converts currency | Depends on the Wise entity serving you |
| Banks | Process bank transfers | Depends on your bank and ours |
| Public blockchains | Record USDT payments | Global and public |
A note on USDT: crypto transactions are written to a public ledger. The wallet addresses, amounts and times of a payment are visible to anyone and can’t be changed or deleted by us or anyone else.
We may also share data with professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, with authorities when the law requires it, or with a buyer or successor if the business is reorganised or sold.
If you contact us through Telegram or LinkedIn, or use a share link on a blog post, that platform handles your data under its own privacy policy.
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
5. International transfers
Our servers and email are in the EU. Leggo is a US company and our team works remotely, so your data may also be accessed from countries outside the EEA and UK, including the United States and Georgia. When that happens we rely on safeguards the law allows, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or a provider’s certification under an approved data-transfer framework.
6. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that didn’t turn into a project | Up to 24 months after our last conversation |
| Contracts, invoices and payment records | 7 years after the project ends, or longer if the law requires it |
| Email given for a tool launch | Until we send that one email, or until you ask us to delete it |
| Server logs | A short period, normally no more than 30 days, unless we need them to look into a security incident |
| Project access and credentials | Only for the duration of the project |
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct it or delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another company in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, without affecting what we did before.
Residents of US states with privacy laws, such as California, have similar rights to know, delete and correct their data, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do neither, but you can still ask.
To use any of these rights, email hello@leggo.dev. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
If you’re in the EU or UK and not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
The site runs over HTTPS, our mailbox is encrypted, our hosting is in the EU, and only the people who need your data can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle data, for example if we ever add analytics, we’ll update this page and the date at the top first. If the change is significant, we’ll say so clearly on the site.
